Integrate what you have, or build

Tienes tres herramientas que ya pagas. El mes las cruza a mano. La tentación es "hacer una app". A veces la pieza que falta es un cable. A veces el cable no existe porque el proceso no cabe en ninguna de las tres.

Integrate when

All three systems do their job. The problem is the transfer between them: copying a customer, an order, a status. The data already exists somewhere. No one is rewriting it. It just doesn't travel.

La regla es estable. "Si el presupuesto pasa a aceptado, crea el trabajo." Eso es un puente. No es un producto.

You can say which field is outputting and which field is inputting. If you can't, you're not ready to integrate. You're ready to sit down and write the flow.

Build when

The problem is the work, not the transportation. Budget your way. Plan by your own rules. A closure that none of the three know how to handle. There, integration just moves a temporary fix from one place to another.

Una de las tres es la de verdad y las otras son teatro. Si el número oficial vive en una hoja "mientras tanto", no integres la hoja. Sustitúyela. Eso es el otro artículo: leave the spreadsheet.

No one can name the system that's in charge. Integrating three sources without a single owner leaves you with three truths. First, choose which one is in charge. Then, the cable.

A short test

Escribe en una línea: "Cuando pasa X en A, tiene que existir Y en B." Si esa línea es el mes, integra. Si el mes es todo lo que pasa dentro de A, construye A.

No hagas las dos a la vez "para aprovechar". El puente y la pieza nueva son dos alcances. Dos presupuestos. Si los juntas, vuelves al presupuesto abierto.

What this is not

This isn't a connector catalog. It's not a list of brands. If A and B have an official track and the ruler fits on a line, use it. If the track doesn't exist or the ruler doesn't fit, that's the key: either change the ruler or build the part.

After

If the bridge is the work, the commission remains the same and the scope fits within that framework. If the new piece is the work, the commission is... custom software. This page only separates the cable from the tool.
